Llevo más de diez años traduciendo guiones de cine. No documentos genéricos, no subtítulos de pantalla — guiones. Eso significa entender el ritmo de un diálogo, el peso de un silencio y por qué una sola palabra puede cambiar el tono entero de una escena.

Me formé en guion en el Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC), lo que me da una perspectiva que pocos traductores tienen: antes de escribir una palabra en inglés, ya entiendo la estructura dramática, los personajes y las intenciones detrás del guion.

He traducido cortometrajes y largometrajes que han circulado en festivales y pantallas internacionales. Trabajo con directores y guionistas que necesitan que su historia funcione igual de bien en el otro idioma — porque una mala traducción no solo pierde palabras, pierde la película.

I have spent over ten years translating screenplays. Not generic documents, not on-screen subtitles — screenplays. That means understanding the rhythm of a dialogue, the weight of a silence, and why a single word can change the entire tone of a scene.

I trained in screenwriting at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC), which gives me a perspective few translators have: before I write a single word in English, I already understand the dramatic structure, the characters, and the intentions behind the script.

I have translated short films and feature films that have screened at international festivals and markets. I work with directors and screenwriters who need their story to work just as well in another language — because a bad translation doesn't just lose words, it loses the film.
